- This washable wool rug is an abstract version of the African checkered blanket, the traditional garment worn by the Maasai people. Part of the Woolable Africa collection that the designer Lorena Canals was created after visiting East Africa and learning about the Maasai tribes - a unique indigenous culture and an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The rug's handcrafted finishes are distinguished by irregular contours, wavy fringes and careful attention to detail, and it is available in three different colorways in versatile earthy shades. Each washable wool rug comes packaged in a cotton tote bag that can be used for storage and includes a free non-slip underlay to slide under the rug and keep it in place.
